What FICCI has in store for you

We continue to talk about one of the arts that we are most passionate about, the cinema; especially now that the International Film Festival of Cartagena de Indias (FICCI) approaches. It will be held from March 6 to 11, 2019 – get it in your diaries now to make the most of all that this celebration has to offer.

This year, the 59th edition of the most traditional and prestigious film festival in Latin America, will celebrate our América Mestiza with new initiatives and a wide range of on-screen experiences. You can enjoy 10 official shows and 85 titles from more than 62 participating countries. All of them share a common factor: diversity and creative freedom.

One of the sections that caught our eye was the ‘Migración y Mestizaje’ – Migration and Mixing. In it, seven works, including feature films, short films, documentaries and fiction, will enrich your viewpoint on global migration and mixing. Among the Colombians present are the documentary Nijole by Sandro Bozzolo, produced in association with Lithuania and Italy; and the short film Vendo Pipas, by Juan Diego Aguirre Flores.
