Take in the city’s best panoramic views from atop the Popa hill, and get familiarized with the history of the colonial church and convent of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, which sit perched on Popa’s peak. While there, why not sample some of the local fried foods you’ll find being sold in the area? You can also wander around the rest of the neighborhood, with the foot of the hill making up the main residential and commercial sector.
Manga is the elegant home of some of the city’s wealthiest families, replete with large houses and mansions decorated with traditional Middle Eastern finishes. Take time to stroll through this residential heartland and its numerous gardens, with fruit trees aplenty. Top your visit off with a trip to the Club de Pesca and the bridges which connect this area with the rest of the city.
