FIESTA

There are few things more legendary than a night out in Cartagena. Dubbed the Jewel of the Caribbean, it offers unique rhythmic and musical experiences that are perfect for dancing the night away and partying until the sun comes up.

GETTING STARTED
Begin your evening with sunset cocktails in the old town. Try the rooftop bars at the Santa Catalina Hotel or the Townhouse hotel. Both of these spots inside the city walls are elegant and relaxed, with plenty of good music and great drinks.

DANCING
If you’re on the hunt for some Caribbean rhythms, Café Havana is the ideal place for some Cuban music, with Getsemaní’s “corner of movement” offering visitors excellent live music. If you want to dance salsa, reggaeton or Afrobeat, head to Kilele, a lively spot with live performances on the first floor and a spacious balcony on the second. Bazurto Social Club is the place to go in Getsemaní if you want to enjoy champeta and live music, as well as dance classes for tourists and locals.

PARTYING
Alquímico is imposing and stylish, the perfect place to sip on new cocktails, dance or take a seat at the bar and try one of the house specials. La Jugada and La Movida 2-14 are two nightclubs which combine good food, unique cocktails and dancing until dawn. Get your glad rags on and dance to the tunes of exclusive DJs. Clubbing enthusiasts should also check out Babar, in the walled city, which has a number of dancefloors and DJs that play well into the early hours.
